By entering this site you accept Spring Valley Lakes are used entirely at your own risk, and that neither the Site Owners Managers, Spring Valley Staff, Scuba Wales or Scuba Wales Staff accept any responsibility for any loss, Injury or damage to Individuals, Vehicles or their Property.
By entering this site you accept Spring Valley Lakes staff or the staff of its associate organisations (Scuba Wales, Spring Valley Training, Canoe Wales) are not medical personnel however, will respond to an emergency and render assistance to the best of their ability and you agree to assistance being rendered by above staff.
Arrivals
All visitors must read and accept site rules, terms and conditions.
All visitors must sign-in at reception.
All visitors must camp on their designated pitches (lakeside views cannot be guaranteed).
Pitches
All visitors booking a pitch for camping will be allocated 8 metres x 10 metres.
All visitors allocated a pitch number will camp to the right-hand side of their number.
Each pitch will be allowed 1 x vehicle and 1 x tent; or 1 x campervan and 1 x awning.
Each pitch will be allowed 4 people in total. Additional vehicles, tents and people will be charged extra.
Vehicles
Each camping pitch will be allowed 1 x vehicle.
All moving vehicles must adhere to the 5mph speed limit at all times.
Vehicles on site cannot be used for travelling around/within the campsite; the only movement permitted after pitching is to leave site.
No vehicle movement after 10pm as site gates are closed (open 8am – closed 10pm).
Rubbish
All rubbish/waste must be taken home on departure.
Any rubbish/waste to be taken by Spring Valley Lakes will incur a charge of £20 per black bag.
All dog waste must be picked up and disposed of in the designated ‘dog waste bin’ provided.
Any visitors seen throwing any rubbish/waste will be removed from site immediately and permanently banned.
All pitches must be left clean and tidy on departure.
Any pitch left untidy will be given a notice.
Noise
All noise must be kept at a respectable level.
Music must be turned down at 11pm.
All noise from pets must be kept at a reasonable level. No excessive barking.
No shouting or screaming at unreasonable levels.
All visitors must respect their camping neighbours.
Pets
All pets must be kept under control at all times.
All waste from pets must be disposed of in allocated bins.
Visitors must maintain control of their pets at all times.
Firepits & Barbeques
All firepits and barbeques must be raised off the ground and not damage the grass.
Any damage caused by firepits and barbeques to your pitch will incur a charge of £25.
Ashes and waste from firepits and barbeques can be disposed of in allocated bins.
All visitors are permitted to bring their own firepits, barbeques and fuel.
Licensed Area
Only food and drink purchased on site can be consumed in the licensed area.
Anyone under 18 years old must be supervised at all times.
No glass or glass bottles to be taken outside of the licensed area.
Only plastic cups to be used outside the licensed area.
We operate a ZERO-TOLERENCE policy to any and all anti-social behaviour.
Illegal substances
Illegal substances are NOT ALLOWED on our site at all. Anyone caught in possession of, taking, sharing, selling such items will be reported to the Police, and removed from site by them.
Young People
People under 18 are not permitted on the bus bar. They are not permitted to consume alcohol on site. They must be accompanied by a parent / Guardian at all times, and supervised whilst undertaking any activity, such as paddleboarding etc.
Equality & Diversity
We are proud to recognise the many differences we as individuals have. We welcome and celebrate everyone, regardless of their protected characteristics. We do this, not because it's law, but because it is right and proper. We ourselves, within our team are proud to also be from varying backgrounds. We require our guests to respect everyone as we do, and will not tolerate homophobia, sexism, racism, but to name a few.
Open Water
No access to lakes is permitted after 8pm.
There is a ZERO-TOLERANCE to drinking alcohol and using the lake or partaking in any water-sport activity.
All rules for water-sports must be adhered to at all times.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Swimming & Snorkelling
You must be competent swimmers and must be capable of swimming a minimum of 200 metres continuously and confidently over deep water.
All groups or individuals must have at least 1 surface support/spotter that can render assistance if required and must be present throughout the activity and provide their own first aid kits.
You are advised to wear a suitable thermal protection for warmth and buoyancy.
Please avoid going over diver’s bubbles - divers may make rapid ascents which could cause injury if you are above them.
Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult at all times.
You have no health issues that may either impede or pose a risk to you whilst undertaking your said activity.
You can competently swim a minimum of 200m continuously without swimming aids and without stopping.
You are comfortable swimming in deep water and can tread water for a minimum of 3 minutes.
You have taken part in open water activities before or are under Instruction.
Freediving
Individuals or Groups not under instruction must be a minimum 2 star Certified Freediver.
Freedivers (group or individual) must have at least 1 in water and 1 surface support/spotter that can render assistance if required and must be present throughout.
SUP & Kayak
All SUP and Kayak users must wear suitable buoyancy aid at all times while on the water.
SUP or Kayaking any group or individual must have at least 1 surface support/spotter that can render assistance if required with first aid kits and must be present throughout the session.
Please avoid diver’s bubbles - divers may make rapid ascents which could cause injury if you are above them.
SUP or Kayak visitors must be able to swim a minimum of 100 meters and tread water for 2 minutes.
All SUP and Kayak participants have had appropriate training.
You have no known aliments or condition that will negatively impact your ability to participate in my said activity.
You have your own insurance to cover you for SUP or Kayaking.
Under 14s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult at all times.
No-one can be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol whilst participating in any form of water activities.
Scuba Diving
All divers have the responsibility for their own and buddies safety.
Instructors have a duty of care for those who are diving with them.
Divers are reminded to dive within their certification.
No-one can be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol whilst participating in any form of water activities.
You must be no younger than 10 years old to dive at the site
All junior participants/children must be closely supervised by adults at all times and never left unsupervised.
If you do not have your own risk assessment a generic one is available from the centre. You are strongly encouraged to consult this document and always to dive fully in accordance with the safe diving practices of your diving agency (e.g. TDI/SDI, BSAC, PADI, SAA, etc).
Solo diving is not permitted.
Underwater training platforms are provided for training purposes.
Non trainees should be aware that students are using these areas and may wish to plan dives avoiding such areas at busy times.
A number of small underwater attractions are in the lakes and divers enter or otherwise interact with the attractions at their own risk.
Diving in cold water has resulted in many preventable incidents at freshwater sites due to regulator freezing and divers wearing inadequate thermal protection.
Removal of rights of implied access
The rights of implied access will be removed if deemed necessary. Anyone receiving such a notice will be banned from entering our site for life. This measure is taken to protect the site, our business interests, nature and wildlife, and safeguard our visitors. No adherence to our rules will incur termination of your rights to implied access.
